This potential ground-up development is located in the Eindhoven Canal Zone. It concerns a 1 hectare plot situated at a strategic location on one of the main access roads to the center of Eindhoven. The area is designated to convert into a mix-use urban area for starters and expats with approximately 300 apartments and commercial support facilities.


The Canal Zone is one of the designated areas for residential development within Eindhoven. This zone has the potential to grow into a mixed area of living and working. It is very close to both the city and the countryside. In 2015, ‘’het college van B&W’’ decided that the Canal Zone should undergo a qualitative transformation. A sustainable living environment will be created with residential units, combined with office space and hospitality. Core values are the preservation of cultural where the previously acquired Koelhuis will make a strong contribution. 

 

Hugo van der Goeslaan is not directly included in the planning of the Canal Zone, but it is very strategically located between the Campina site and Augustus (another redevelopment location in the immediate vicinity). It is a strategic inner-city location that also connects and merges with the area transformation of the former Campina site and Augustus. Hugo van der Goeslaan could logically be involved in and be seen as the connecting factor as well as the appearance of the transformation area.
