ukaa

The UKAA was launched in 2016 as in response to a growing awareness of the need for a single unifying body to the Build To Rent sector and to the increasing levels of interest in Build To Rent from many parties – government, investors, operators and above all customers who want to rent purpose built homes from professional landlords.

The UKAA is a Global Alliance Partner of the NAA (National Apartment Association) in the US. The NAA have been in existence for over 70 years and represent over 8.5 million rented units. It offers a wealth of experience

and expertise in the US Multi-Family Housing sector, the equivalent of UK Build To Rent that we are able to leverage and learn from. Bakkers | Hommen joined UKAA as an international known organisation to connect with parties in the Build To Rent sector to advance the industry and add value and competence to our Dutch market large scale BTR developments.

In addition, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is responsible for the efficient management and development of government real estate and for high-quality personnel development for administrators and civil servants. Other tasks of the

omu

OMU is working on the restructuring and transformation of work locations in the province of Utrecht. Our aim is to deal more carefully, efficiently, and sustainably with the scarce space and to improve the business and investment climate.

OMU focuses on improving, changing, and moving work functions and locations. The focus is on private plots and real estate, and less on public space. OMU supports (mostly private) initiatives at work locations that contribute to the aforementioned principles by (partly) risk-bearing investment, providing financing and contributing knowledge/creating connections.

Together with entrepreneurs, real estate parties, governments, and other partners, we tackle outdated and vacant work locations. Our projects give new life to these places and their immediate surroundings, which leads to a healthier market situation, a spatial quality boost and new employment opportunities.

stichting hoogbouw

Stichting Hoogbouw was established in 1984 to make the Dutch building, administrative and designing people enthusiastic about high-rise buildings. This was a time when high-rise buildings were taboo. Introduced en masse and uniformly in modern suburbs, high-rise buildings created not only space but also urbanity. Stichting Hoogbouw wanted to make clear that there are many forms of high-rise buildings, each with their own characteristics, and that it can be a means of making Dutch city centers in particular more attractive.

The taboo on high-rise buildings has been broken for some time. As such, raising enthusiasm is no longer a primary objective of Stichting Hoogbouw. Today, it mainly tries to create knowledge and network about high-rise buildings in the Netherlands by regularly bringing parties together and sharing knowledge, in order to lift high-rise buildings in the Netherlands not only literally but also figuratively to a higher level. To this end, it organizes meetings and study trips, publishes newsletters, and is involved in studies and publications relevant to its focus.

The Hoogbouw Foundation is supported by a network of donors. These are mostly companies, but also individuals who are professionally involved in the design, construction, and realization of high-rise buildings in the Netherlands. In doing so, they not only support the activities of Stichting Hoogbouw, but it also enables them to meet other high-rise professionals in the Netherlands.
