Zorgvilla Dalia has a rich historical past. There has been a school and monastery in the building. In 1885 the Ursuline Sisters bought the estate with the accompanying house, which was converted into a monastery. In 1936 the monastery became a secondary school. The school bore the name ‘Marianum College’ and was also a boarding school where students could eat and sleep.
In 1971 the school moved and in 1985 the sisters left Venlo. In 2018 the building was completely renovated. As a care villa of Stepping Stones Home & Care it is now occupied by elderly people in need of care with memory problems. During the renovation the authentic elements of the building have been preserved as much as possible.
The surroundings of care villa Dalia are characterized by the greenery and proximity to the lively center of Venlo. This allows the residents to enjoy the tranquility and space that the surrounding nature has to offer, but also the amenities and conveniences of the city center. Moreover, the care villa is very centrally located and easily accessible by both car and public transport.
